SOURCING AN EXECUTIVE CREATIVE DIRECTOR FOR AN INTEGRATED AGENCY

BBDO is the world's most awarded and effective advertising agency with over 8,000 employees across 70+ countries (source: LinkedIn 2023). BBDO Germany needed to appoint an outplacement expert to support a number of employee redundancies however they wanted a company that offered recruitment as well as outplacement.

As an existing recruitment partner, we were selected and appointed by BBDO Germany because we specialise in recruitment as well as outplacement.

The majority of BBDO staff at risk were international employees based from all around the world who were working on a visa in Germany. BBDO wanted to make sure they were all looked after and were able to find suitable new roles.

HOW WE OPERATE

Our process

Explore the DNA outplacement process that we implemented for BBDO

Met with BBDO to understand their needs, goals and objectives as well as discussing their concerns.

We worked with BBDO's in-house careers coach and marketing team to collaboratively develop outplacement resources suited to their needs.

Our CEO and MD flew to Germany to deliver training and coaching to 15 employees. We ran hybrid group workshops (in-person & online) and also 1:1 support.

After the sessions we provided access to tailored online resources for all employees. Additionally, we set up meetings with relevant DNA team members to help each of them with the areas they needed most help or improvement e.g. CV, LinkedIn profile, personal brand building, interview / employer engagement skills.

All employees that were facing redundancy were added to our DNA Recruit database as potential candidates for new roles - this included a full onboarding session so they can access the database to search for their next career step. 

Unlimited follow-up support sessions were offered (and used) to further help with personal brand building and to optimise their LinkedIn profiles and activity.
