About the Role
As Senior Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the marketing and communications strategy for one of the city's most successful events venues. With a focus on exhibitions and commercial services, you'll lead the charge in delivering a results-driven marketing plan that supports revenue targets across multiple streams.

You will manage a Marketing Executive and a Marketing Administrator and work closely with sales and commercial teams to drive business growth. This role requires a strategic thinker who is commercially minded, highly organized, and skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the marketing strategy for exhibitions and commercial services, driving growth and supporting revenue targets through innovative and targeted campaigns.
• Collaborate with the Exhibitions Sales team to deliver marketing activities that support client retention, acquisition, and business development for both B2B and B2C exhibition organisers.
• Manage the development of marketing materials including brochures, case studies, web content, virtual tours, and sales presentations to promote services and products.
• Drive digital marketing efforts, overseeing the content and SEO strategy for the website and coordinating organic and paid campaigns with external agencies.
• Maintain the venue’s presence at exhibitions and trade shows, collaborating with the Conference Marketing Manager for integrated marketing activity.
• Lead PR and communications initiatives with the PR & Communications Manager, focusing on social media strategies and media outreach to boost brand visibility.
• Utilize market insights and data to optimize campaign effectiveness and demonstrate ROI.
• Manage relationships with key suppliers, partners, and clients, ensuring marketing efforts maximize commercial opportunities.
• Oversee marketing budgets, ensuring all activities are cost-effective and aligned with business objectives.

Who We're Looking For

• Experience: At least 5 years in a senior marketing role, ideally within exhibitions, events, or a commercial-focused organisation.
• Skills: Strong stakeholder management, excellent communication abilities (both written and verbal), and a knack for project planning.
• Attributes: A commercially astute individual who is self-motivated, resilient, and ready to take initiative.
• Team Player: Demonstrates a collaborative approach and enjoys mentoring and managing a team.
• Qualifications: A degree in Marketing or a related field is preferred.
