WHATSAPP SCAM WHAT IT IS AND WHAT TO DO
We have become aware of an increasing number of scams where individuals are posing as our recruiters to deceive unsuspecting job seekers. These fraudulent messages appear to be primarily circulating on WhatsApp, although they might not be restricted to this platform. The intent of these scams is unclear, but it’s widely believed within the industry that the goal is to harvest personal information, often facilitated through the hacking your WhatsApp contacts.
At DNA Recruit Ltd, we prioritize your privacy and are fully committed to GDPR compliance.
Protecting your trust and ensuring a secure recruitment process is our top priority.
Please keep in mind: While our recruiters may use WhatsApp to communicate with candidates, they will never reach out without prior consent or as an initial point of contact.
To protect yourself from falling prey to these schemes, consider the following guidance:
- Not listed on our website: If the person contacting you doesn’t appear on our ‘Meet the Team’
page, reach out to us to confirm their affiliation. - Unrealistic offers: Beware of job opportunities that seem too good to be true, such as extremely
high pay for little effort. They likely are. - Unexpected outreach: Be cautious if you receive a job offer from an unknown number or without
any prior interaction. - Lack of specifics: Scammers often provide vague or incomplete information about the job or
company. Always verify the credentials of the organization before proceeding. - Requests for personal information: Genuine recruiters will never ask for sensitive details like
bank account numbers or ID documents at the start of the process. - Unprofessional tone: Watch out for messages with poor grammar, unprofessional language, or
email addresses that don’t match our official domains (@dnarecruit.com or
@dynamicnewalliances.com). - Suspicious websites: Double-check the legitimacy of any website, especially those that appear
poorly designed or incomplete. - Urgent demands: Scammers often create pressure to rush your decision-making. Take your time
to validate any offers. - Request for money: Authentic recruiters will never ask for fees for processing applications or
securing job placements. - No interviews: A proper recruitment process typically includes at least one face-to-face or video
interview. - Instincts matter: Trust your gut. If something feels off, it likely is.
If you suspect you’ve been approached with a fraudulent message or job offer claiming to be from
DNA Recruit Ltd, refrain from engaging. Instead, contact us directly at hello@dnarecruit.com.
